If you are considering adding to your living space with an additional bedroom, the design of your basement is important in keeping up with city codes. If you do not have a window or walk out basement, we will need to plan on the installation of an egress window. Egress windows are designed to allow your family to escape and provide entry for emergency crews should a fire occur. They also allow more outside light making the basement feel more open.
Egress windows can also be added to existing finished basements if needed. If you have an existing finished basement but would like to make it code compliant, we can add an egress window in most spaces.

Is there a way to design the stairway to accommodate moving in large pieces of furniture in the future?
